OPERATION

• After charging the clipper however, disconnect the power plug of the mains
charger adapter from the power outlet.
• Disconnect the connector plug from the product. Push the adjustable hair
trimming attachment, with the open side on the operating side of the device,
to the desired cutting length on the beard and hair clipper. The attachment will
always click into place when a cutting length is selected. The cutting length is
indicated on the back of the device. See the following diagrams.
• The hair length can be adjusted to the following cutting lengths. 4, 8, 12, 16,
20, 24, 28 and 32 mm.
• Use the beard trimming attachment to trim beards. See
adjacent diagram. The beard trimming attachment can
be set on 2 cutting lengths.
• Switch on the device with the on/off switch by sliding
it towards OFF. In this position, ON appears in the
lower area of the slide switch and the LED indicator
light turns green.
• The clipper can now be operated with a direct mains power supply. To do this,
insert the connector plug of the mains charger adapter into the connector
socket on the beard and hair clipper and connect the power plug to a suitable
power outlet. During direct mains operation, the LED indicator light will light up
orange.
• Slide the thinning switch to the left to activate the fine cut function.
• After the hair-cutting process has been completed, slide the on/off switch
towards ON. In this position, OFF will appear above the on/off switch.
• If necessary, clean the cutting blade head with removable blade unit as
described in the section Cleaning and Maintenance.
• The adjustable hair trimming attachment also serves as protection for the cutting
blade head and should remain on the clipper after use.
• Should the beard and hair clipper not be used over a longer period of time, it is
recommended to store the device in its original packaging.
