Error Detection and Troubleshooting
Check the cable connections before going through this checklist.
No power, no sound.
• The car motor is switched off. Turn the motor on.
• Cables are not connected properly. Check the connections.
• The fuse is blown. Replace the fuse.
• The volume is too low. Turn the volume to the desired level.
• If the above suggestions do not help, press the RESET button.
• Ensure that the music is being played in a compatible format.
Noises on the radio signal
• The signal is too weak. Switch to another station with a stronger signal.
• Check the connections to the car antenna.
• Switch the reception mode from stereo to mono.
CD cannot be played back
• Make sure that the CD was inserted with the printed side facing up.
• Wipe the disc with a microfibre cloth in straight lines from the inside out.
• The disc might be damaged.
• Make sure that the CD is not a CD/CD-R /CD-RW.
• Make sure that the CD has not been encoded with copy protection measures.
CD skips tracks
• Make sure that the disc is not damaged or dirty.
• Ensure that the random mode is disabled.
• Stored transmitter is lost.
• The battery cable is not connected correctly. Check the cable connection.
• The display shows ERR-1.
• CD, USB or SD cannot be read for two minutes.
The display shows ERR-3
• USB / SD data error.
• The CD has been inserted in the wrong direction.
• Make sure the CD was inserted with the printed side facing up.
The display shows ERR-5
• Communication error or component is damaged.
