Rotate the volume control to turn the regional radio function on or off.
• REG ON: Can only be switched to radio stations of the current
region
• REG OFF: All stations can be switched automatically
This option allows you to adjust the frequency spacing to your re-
gion. EUROPE is the default setting. Rotate the volume control dial
between EUROPE, USA, OIRT (Russia), LATIN (Latin America), ASIA
(Pacific Region), MID-EAST (Middle East)
The default setting is BEEP ON. This means that each time a key is
pressed, a beep sound is played back. Turn the volume control to
turn this function on or off.
The time is set to 12 o'clock by default. Turn the volume control to
set the minutes and hours. Press MENU to switch between hours
and minutes.
This function allows you to adjust the tuner sensitivity depending
on whether you want to receive more stations or only those with a
strong signal.
• LOCAL: Only strong signals are received
• DX: Stations with strong as well as weak signals can be received
The RDS (radio data system) only works in regions with radio sta-
tions that transmit an RDS signal. When you switch to an RDS sta-
tion, an RDS symbol and information on the station and program
appear on the display. This unit supports the following RDS func-
tions:
• Program type selection (PTY): Before you switch to RDS stations,
you can select the program type and the unit will only play sta-
tions which transmit the desired program. Press and hold MENU
to enter the system menu. Press Power / Mute to enter the PTY se-
lection. Turn the volume knob to select the desired program type.
• Music: POP M, ROCK M, EASY M, LIGHT M, CLASSICS, OTHER M,
JAZZ, COUNTRY, NATION M, OLDIES, FOLK M, TEST, ALARM
• Language: NEWS, AFFAIRS, INFO, SPORT, EDUCATE, DRAMA,
CULTURE, SCIENCE, VARIED, WEATHER, FINANCE, CHILDREN,
SOCIAL, RELIGION, PHONE IN, TRAVEL, LEISURE, DOCUMEN-
TARY
