Assembling the crossmembers
Check that the correct crossbars are fi tted
(see list on page 51).
Fit the crossmembers parallel to the rear
brackets (see fi gure).
The length of the crossmembers deter-
mines their position. If a crossmember is fi t-
ted at the bolted joint on the sidemembers,
the M14x130 screws are replaced with two
M14x40 screws (spacer excluded). Spacer
washers Ø 44 are fi tted where necessary
between the crossmember and sidemem-
ber legs.
Fit each crossmember with four M14x40 mm
screws, min. quality 8.8. Washers should be
used under both the screw head and nut.

Centring of the eye
Align the eye in the direction of the drawbar. The maximum permitted deviation for the centre of
the drawbar eye from the centre line is ± 2 mm. Make sure that the distance from the centre line
and eye hole is the same on both sides, see fi gure b. The drawbar must not be adjusted to com-
pensate for incorrect alignment of the front axle.
