6.3. Receiving transmitter data
Once the batteries have been inserted, the "!" symbol will flash for 3 minutes
while it searches for the receiver signal.
Once it stops flashing, the signal has been found and assigned to channel 1 as
standard.
During the 3 minutes, insert the batteries in the transmitter and close the slot.
The transmitter's signals will then be sent to the receiver and the red LED
display will start to flash. The receiver captures the signals and displays data
on the display.
If the receiver does not display the pool data within 3 minutes, the "—" signal
will appear and the "!" symbol will not display meaning that you need to check
the transmitter batteries and try once again.
Please also check for any sources of interference and interfering frequencies.
You can also launch a transmitter search at a later time, such as if the signal is
lost or you need to change batteries.
Hold the CH button on the receiver for 3 seconds. "—" will appear on the
display and the "!" symbol will being to flash.
Insert new batteries in the transmitter and put back together.
The signal will then be transmitted to the receiver.
The receiver will be sent the transmitter data.
Please note:
After changing the batteries, you will need to press the CH button on the
receiver for 3 seconds in order to access the corresponding channel (for
example, if the transmitter is CH1, hold the CH button on the receiver in
order to access channel 1). This serves to re-link the pool transmitter to
the receiver.
If the receiver does not display transmitter data for a long period, hold the
CH button for 3 seconds in order to search for the transmitter's particular
channel.
Once you have put the transmitter together, a false reading of -50.0C may
appear on the display, or an error. False transmitter readings may also be
shown on the receiver. This error is not caused by the transmitter or
receiver.
It will take a few minutes for the display to show the correct value. The
reason for this is that once the PCB (circuit board) has been inserted on
the sensor, the contacts may not be touching properly, which results in
data being transmitted incorrectly.
You need to properly close the screw cover to ensure the PCB and
transmitter contacts are connected exactly to be certain that the values
displayed are correct.
7. Thermometer
If the measured values are higher than the measuring range, "HH.H" will
appear on the temperature display. If the values are lower than the measuring
range, "LL.L" will appear.
7.1. Maximum/minimum function
Press the MAX/MIN button in normal until MAX appears on the display.
This will enable you to retrieve the highest interior and outdoor temperature
readings since the last reset.
Press the MAX/MIN button again to show MIN on the display.
This will enable you to retrieve the lowest interior and outdoor temperature
readings since the last reset.
Press MAX/MIN again to return to the current readings on the display.
The device automatically ends MAX/MIN mode if no button is pressed.
Press the CLEAR button while the max. or min. values are being displayed in
order to delete them.

7.2 Setting the temperature unit

In normal mode, you can choose between °C (Celsius) and °F (Fahrenheit) for
displaying temperatures.
Press the +/°C/°F button to make your selection.
8. Additional transmitters
If you have more than one outdoor transmitter, press the CH1/2/3 switch on the
printer circuit board (PCB). See fig. 6. You need a dedicated channel for each
transmitter.
The receiver will automatically recognise the new transmitter if you press and
hold the CH button on the receiver, or launch it as described in the manual.
The outdoor values will then be displayed on the receiver display. If you have
installed more than one transmitter, press the CH button to switch between
channels 1 to 3.
You can also choose for channels to be shown in a cycle. Repress the CH
button after the third channel to display the "~" symbol and the display will then
cycle through the channels.
Press the CH button again to deactivate the channel cycle and to continually
show only the data of the first transmitter.
9. Positioning and attaching the receiver and outdoor transmitters
The foldable leg on the reverse side of the receiver can be used to place it on
any flat surface, or on a wall using the suspension holes.
Avoid attaching it in areas where there are fields of interference, such as
computer monitors, television devices or solid metal objects.
Check that the transmitter and receiver are in range of each other (range of up
to 60m over open ground).
The signal strength is naturally weakened in steel and concrete structures and
buildings.

10. Care and maintenance
Clean the devices using a soft, moist cloth. Do not use any solvents or abrasive
agents/materials.
Remove the batteries and remove the adapter from the plug if you are not

Store the devices in a dry location.

10.1. Changing the batteries

If the battery symbol appears on the outdoor temperature display, the outdoor
transmitter batteries need replacing.
If the battery symbol appears on the interior temperature display, the base
station batteries need replacing.
Please note: When you replace batteries, contact must be re-established
between transmitter and receiver. You can either change the batteries in both
devices at the same time, or use the manual transmitter search function.
