8. TROUBLESHOOTING

If you have problems with your shredder, check the symptoms described below.
If you are unable to solve the problem this way, contact your nearest KOBRA dealer.
Do not touch the internal parts of the shredder to try to repair it. You could risk serious electrical shock or
mechanical dangers as well as invalidating your guarantee.
PROBLEM
The shredder does not start
Significant reduction in shredding
capacity
SYMPTOMS
- led (9) does not come on
-led (15) comes on
- led (16) comes on
-leds come on together
(9-15-16)
-Capacity reduced
compared with shredding
capacity noted when
cutting knives are oiled
CAUSE
-Switch (8) at "0"
-Power cable not
connected
-No electrical power
-Bag full
-Door not closed properly
-Motor in overheating
protection mode
-Cutting knives need to be
lubricated

ACTION
- Turn switch to "1"
- Check plug is properly
inserted into the socket
-Check socket is switched
on
-Empty bag
-Close the door
-Wait 15 minutes for the
motor to cool down
-Replace the empty oil
container with a full one
-Lubricate the cutting
knives manualy by
inserting several sheets of
paper sprinkled with oil
