Operate the Madicon

Start the Madicon Mixer Software.

Configure the USB Audio Device Channels:
• Under the "Madicon Mixer" menu choose "USB Audio Device Channels"
• Choose the setup:
64 channels with 44.1 – 48 kHz sample rate

32 channels with 44.1 – 96 kHz sample rate
□
16 channels with 44.1 – 192 kHz sample rate
□
This setup does not necessarily reflect the channel count of your connected Madisons.
E.g., you can have two Madisons connected to the Madicon, but if you want record with 192 kHz sample rate you
must select "16 channels with 44.1 – 192 kHz sample rate"; only the 16 channels of the 1st unit in the chain will be
used.
Start a new session by pressing "N".

Choose your preferred Madicon mixer configuration:
• 32 input channels
• 24 input channels and 8 DAW return channels
• 16 input channels and 16 DAW return channels
• 8 input channels and 24 DAW return channels

In your audio software choose the Madicon as audio device.
18 Select the desired sample rate in your audio software
The four LEDs on the front side show the actual sample rate:
44.1 48 x2 x4 Sample Rate
44.1 kHz
48 kHz
88.2 kHz
96 kHz
176.4 kHz
192 kHz
If everthing is setup properly you are ready to record and playback on all chan-
nels connected to your Madisons.

* In SmartMADI folow mode, connected Madisons will lock to the sample rate chossen in your DAW.
