Safety Notes:
For the best results, keep the soldering tip clean and replace if
necessary. Replace the tip only while it is cold.
Operate the soldering iron only with the required 230 V AC and do
not work on life parts.
Work only in well ventilated areas because hot solder and flux can
emit hazardous fumes.
Do not lead the power cord over sharp edges or hot surfaces. If the
soldering iron or the power cord becomes damaged, do not use the
unit before it has been repaired by a professional.
Do not use the soldering iron outdoors.
Do not immerse the unit in liquids of any kind.
Turn off the soldering iron and pull the power plug while cleaning or
not using the unit. Do not pull on the power cord, always grasp the
plug itself.
Allow the soldering iron to cool down completely before storing or
cleaning it.
Operation:
1. Plug the power plug of the soldering iron into a 230 V~ 50 Hz wall
socket. Place the soldering iron on a heat-resistant surface or,
preferably, use a suitable support.
2. The soldering iron heats up with a heating power of around 30 W.
On the handle you will find a red LED that shows the operating
status (switched on = LED flashes).
3. Before the first use, the soldering tip must be tinned. Allow some
solder to melt on the hot soldering tip and let it to melt into a thin film
which covers the entire soldering tip.
4. After work, allow some solder to melt on the soldering tip to protect it
against corrosion during the period of disuse. Excess solder can be
wiped off with a damp sponge after the soldering tip has heated up
for the next use.
Inserting / Replacing the Soldering Tip
Please Notice!
Always let the soldering iron cool down to room temperature before
touching the soldering tip or the heater
Heater
Loosen the knurled screw (turn counter clockwise) and remove the
sleeve.
Carefully remove the soldering tip from the heater.
Slide the new or cleaned soldering tip over the heater as far as it will
go.
Fix the soldering tip to the soldering iron with the sleeve. Tighten the
knurled screw only by hand - do not use tools.
Replace worn or burnt soldering tips immediately to keep your
soldering iron in best condition. The correct soldering tips can be
ordered from
