8. Connection

Before connection, disconnect the power mixer and all other devices which are to be connected to it from the mains
voltage (pull mains plug out of the socket).
Always use suitably shielded audio cables to connect inputs and outputs. Using incorrect cables may lead to
interference.
In order to avoid distortions or maladjustment that may lead damages to the device, you may only connect the audio
outputs of playback devices with cinch level to the cinch inputs, respectively only the cinch inputs of an audio device
to the cinch outputs of the mixing table.
Only connect one device per channel.
For this, observe also the connection values in the section "Technical Data".
The following applies for all cinch connections:
The white cinch jack is the jack for the left channel.
The red cinch jack is the jack for the right channel.
Connection on the front of the appliance
There are four mono channels available to which you can connect a microphone or a line device each. An audio source with cinch outputs can
be connected to the line input of channel 4.
Connect the XLR outputs of your microphones with the connections MIC IN BAL (14).
Connect the jack outputs of your line devices with the connections LINE UNBAL (13).
If available, connect the cinch outputs of your line device with the connection LINE UNBAL (11).
The inputs on the front, with exception of the connection LINE UNBAL (11), are switched symmetrically.
Connection on the back
On the rear panel, the following interfaces are available:
Two stereo speaker terminals,
Two 6.3 mm mono jack sockets (1 x input, 1 x output) for feeding external devices into the signal path, and
Two cinch (RCA) ports (1 x input, 1 x output) for connecting recording devices
The total impedance of the speakers, which are connected to the speaker terminals, must not be below 4 Ohms.
Connect your loudspeakers with the stereo connections SPEAKER (16).
Connect the playback outputs of your recording device with the connection CD / TAPE IN (17).
Connect the recording inputs of your recording device with the connection REC OUT (18).
Connect the devices that you want to loop into the signal path between the mixing desk and the integrated amplifier with the mono
connections LINE IN / OUT (19).

Connecting the voltage supply

The mains outlets to which the power mixer is connected must be easily accessible to quickly separate the device
from the mains voltage in case of an error.
The power mixer and all connected devices must be turned off when connecting the voltage supply.
Ensure that all the electrical connections and connection cables between the various devices and any extension
cables comply with regulations and also comply with the operating instructions.
Connect the device connection plug of the power line to the mains connection (21) on the device.
Plug the mains cable into a proper wall socket.
The POWER switch (15) turns the power mixer on or off. The device is on when in position 'I'. When the device is turned on, the display of
the MP3 player is illuminated (6).
