GLO Fluorescent Bulbs Installation

WARNING: Fluorescent tubes are made of glass. Handle Strip Lights and tubes with care.
(Follow these instructions whenever installing fluorescent tubes in this Strip Light)
1. Disconnect the Strip light from the power supply.
WARNING: Be sure you unplug the power cord; switching off the lights with the switch on the lead
is NOT enough.
2. Remove the Strip Light from the aquarium and place it with the fluorescent tubes facing up on a solid
surface, far enough from the aquarium to avoid parts accidentally falling into the water.
3. Take the 2 lamp-holder fittings and ensure that the gaskets are properly positioned.
4. Slide the two threaded fittings with gaskets onto the Glo fluorescent tube, towards the
middle, so that the threads are facing the ends of the fluorescent bulb (as shown in
diagram 1).
5. Carefully insert the pins of the Glo fluorescent tube into the lamp-holder slots until it
clicks.
6. Carefully support the lamp-holders by one hand and gently screw the threaded fittings
with the other hand (as shown in diagram 2). Firmly hand-tighten these fittings, the use of
any tool is not recommended. These units are plastic, avoid cross-threading the fittings.
WARNING: To prevent moisture entering the lamp socket and corrosion
of the electrical contacts, fully tighten threaded fittings onto socket.
Ensure there are no visible threads or a gap between lamp socket and
threaded fittings. Ensure threaded fittings are not cross threaded onto
lamp socket.

Features And Tips

External Filter Hose Cut-Outs
The Fluval Strip Light Canopies are equipped with convenient pre-scored sections (cutouts). These
locations are provided to allow installation of accessories, such as filters, heaters etc. To open the cut-outs,
carefully cut them out with a hacksaw. To ensure full stability, safety and performance of your Fluval Strip
Light canopy, remove only the necessary cut-out areas provided.
Access Lids
The Strip Light Canopies are equipped with 2 Access Lids. This allows easy access to your aquarium.
