and safety notices for these devices must be followed.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.

Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are
to be observed.

Version 12/12
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works
- the device has been stored under adverse conditions for a long time
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
b) Camera
• The camera is intended to be used only with a stabilised direct current of 12 V/DC
(e.g. using the power adapter supplied). The inner contact of the round plug should
be Plus/+, the outer contact Minus/-.
• The camera is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor areas (IP65). However, it
must never be used in or under water, as this will destroy it.
• The plugs on the camera's connection cable are not waterproof or watertight and,
therefore, must be placed in a dry indoor area.
• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace the personal supervi-
sion of children or people who require special assistance, but serves only as a
support to this supervision.
• The camera should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight,
strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Make sure that the connection cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
• Disconnect the power supply from the camera if it is not to be used for a while (e.g.
for storage).
c) Wall plug transformer
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II. Use only
a standard mains socket as the voltage source (see section "Technical Data").
• The power adapter is intended for use only in dry indoor rooms; it must not get
damp or wet; never touch it with damp wet hands!
There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Protect the power adapter from direct solar radiation, strong heat and cold, dust and
dirt, vibrations or mechanical loads.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g., during transport),
condensation may be produced.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before you connect it to the mains
voltage. This may take several hours. Otherwise, there is lethal danger due to an
electric shock!
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from
electric shock!
First switch off the mains voltage to all poles of the mains socket to which the wall
plug transformer is connected (e.g. switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker
or remove the safety fuse, then switch off at the RCD protective switch).
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of
the damaged wall plug transformer in an environmental-friendly way, do not use it
any more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifi cations.
