Switching natural sound on/off
1. You can also individually play a natural sound (without alarm function) with this product.
2. Press the NATURE button (8) to switch the natural sound on or off. The natural sound symbol (17) is shown
in the LC display (7) with the corresponding number.
3. Select a natural sound with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
4. Set the volume with the VOL + (10) / VOL – (9) button.
Setting the alarm / sleep time / time and date
If you do not press any button for approx. 10 seconds, the setting mode is exited.
You can set the values more quickly by pressing and holding the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
Setting the alarm
1. You can determine the following parameters in the alarm setting mode: alarm time, alarm mode, alarm
repetition, volume and brightness of the light.
2. Press and hold down the MODE button (1) until the alarm symbol (16) begins to flash.
3. Press the SET button (13). The hour digits start to flash.
4. Set the hours with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
5. Confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13). The minute digits start to flash.
6. Set the minutes with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button and confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13).
7. One of the symbols for the alarm mode flashes in the LC display (7). Select the desired symbol with the
UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
Display
Explanation
Alarm symbol (16)
You will be woken with a beep at the set alarm time.
Radio symbol (15)
You will be woken with the radio at the set alarm time.
Natural sound
You will be woken with a natural sound at the set alarm time. You can choose
symbol (17)
between seven different natural sounds.
8. Confirm your selection by pressing the SET button (13).
9. The SNOOZE display (19) flashes. Set a time here after which the alarm is repeated. Choose a time
between 5 and 10 minutes with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button. (See also "Alarm repetition" section.)
10. Confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13). The volume display (14) begins to flash.
11. With the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button, select a volume with which you would like to be woken (setting range:
0 – 20). The value is displayed in the upper right area of the LC display (7).
12. Confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13). The brightness display (20) begins to flash.
13. Select the desired brightness of the light with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button (setting range: 0 – 18).
14. Confirm the selection by pressing the MODE button (1). You get to the setting of the sleep time.
Setting the sleep time
If you are no longer in the setting mode, press and hold down the MODE button (1) until the alarm
symbol (16) begins to flash. Now press the MODE button (1) once.
15. The preset sleep time (120 minutes) and the sleep display (18) flash in the LC display (7).
16. Set a time (120, 90, 60, 30, 15, 0 minutes) after which the device is automatically switched off. (See also
"Sleep timer" section.)
17. Choose 0 minutes to deactivate this function.
18. Press the SET button (13) to set the desired sleep time.
19. Confirm the selection by pressing the MODE button (1). You get to the setting of the date and time.
Setting the time and date
If you are no longer in the setting mode, press and hold down the MODE button (1) until the alarm
symbol (16) begins to flash. Now press the MODE button (1) twice.
20. The "YEAR", "MONTH" and "DATE" displays flash in the LC display (7). If you select the 12-hour display,
"AM" or "PM" will also flash.
21. Press the SET button (13). The hour digits start to flash.
22. Set the hours with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
23. Confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13). The minute digits start to flash.
24. Set the minutes with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
25. Confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13). The year digits and "YEAR" start to flash.
26. Set the year with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
27. Confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13). The month digits and "MONTH" start to flash.
28. Set the month with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
29. Confirm the value by pressing the SET button (13). The date digits and "DATE" start to flash.
30. Set the date with the UP (2) / DOWN (3) button.
31. Confirm the selection by pressing the MODE button (1).
Switching the alarm function on/off
1. To activate the alarm function, set the ON/OFF/SNOOZE switch (11) to the ON position. The alarm
symbol (16) is displayed in the LC display (7).
2. To switch the alarm function off, set the ON/OFF/SNOOZE switch (11) to the OFF position. The alarm
symbol (16) goes out in the LC display (7).
Ten minutes before the set alarm time, the product starts to gradually increase in brightness.
In the first 1.5 minutes after the alarm time, the product increases the volume to the preset
alarm volume.
Alarm repetition
1. When the alarm sounds, press the ON/OFF/SNOOZE switch (11) down in the direction of SNOOZE to
temporarily stop the alarm. The SNOOZE display (19) flashes in the LC display (7). Please note that the
ON/OFF/SNOOZE switch (11) does not click into the SNOOZE position.
2. The alarm is repeated after the preset time (e.g., 5 minutes).
Sleep timer
1. With this function, you can determine whether the radio (with or without light) or a natural sound (with or
without light) or just the light automatically switches off after a fixed time.
2. Set the sleep time as described in the section, "Setting the sleep time".
3. The sleep time display (18) is shown in the LC display (7).
4. Switch on the radio with the MODE button (1) or the natural sound with the NATURE button (8) and/or
the light with the LAMP button (4). After the preset sleep time, the radio / natural sound and/or the light
switches off.
The product begins to slowly reduce in volume and/or brightness 3 minutes before the end of
the preset sleep time.
Resetting the device (RESET)
Press the RESET button (5) on the bottom of the device to reset the product to the factory settings.

6. Replacing the lamp

Always pull the mains plug out of the power socket before replacing the lamp. Switching the lamp
off with the LAMP button (4) is not enough!
Before replacing a lamp, wait until the defective lamp and the product have sufficiently cooled
down.
1. Unscrew the screw on the enclosure of the product with a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Remove the lamp shield and unscrew the defective lamp from the lamp socket.
3. Replace it with a new lamp of the same type as indicated in the "Technical specifications" section.
4. Reattach the lamp shield and retighten the screw.

7. Maintenance and cleaning

Before cleaning or maintenance, the product must be disconnected from the voltage source.
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations must
perform repairs.
1. Check the technical safety of the device at regular intervals, e.g. for damages of the casing, the power
cable, etc.
2. If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
3. The product is maintenance-free except for occasional replacement of the lamp. The device's outside
should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or a brush only.
4. Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that may damage the surface of the
casing.
8. Disposal
Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
(Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or
wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
