11. Handling

• Observe all safety instructions in this manual!
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! Children cannot assess the
dangers involved in handling electric devices.
• The following unfavourable conditions should be avoided during operation or transport:
- moisture or too high air humidity
- very cold temperatures (<0°C) or heat (>40°C)
- direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents (explosion hazard!)
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as exist near machines or loudspeakers
• The product must only be used in dry interior rooms, it must not get damp or wet. Otherwise there
is danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm room.
Condensation water that forms might destroy the product. It also involves the risk of a fatal electric
shock!
Leave the product switched off and wait until it has reached room temperature, before using it. This
can sometimes take several hours.
• Make sure the insulation of the whole product is neither damaged nor destroyed and never
disassemble it.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you observe any damages, you must not use the product. A damaged power adapter can be life-
threatening! Bring the product to a specialist workshop!
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if
- the device shows visible damages,
- the device is no longer functional and
- after it was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- after it was exposed to heavy transport stress.
• Do not place the TV-Box on valuable furniture without appropriate protection.
• When installing the device, make sure the cables are not bent or jammed. Lay the cables so that
nobody can fall over them.
• If you are not using the product for a longer period of time (e.g. if it is in storage), disconnect it from
the mains and store it in a dry and clean location (not in a damp cellar or similar rooms).
