Les capteurs réagissent au rayonnement infrarouge (rayonnement
thermique) émis par les corps en mouvement, tels que des person-
nes ou des animaux, pénétrant dans leur zone de couverture. Les
capteurs doivent "voir" la zone à surveiller. Le rayonnement thermi-
que se propage selon une ligne droite mais il est arrêté par le verre
ou par d'autres objets solides. Avant l'installation, vous devez donc
tenir compte de ce type de sources de dysfonctionnement.
Assurez-vous que les capteurs disposent constamment d'une vue
dégagée sur la zone à surveiller. Le rayonnement à infrarouge pas-
sif ne peut pas traverser les objets solides ; si les capteurs sont
bloqués par ce type d'objets, l'alarme ne peut pas se déclencher.

Walking test
Before the infrared motion detector is submitted to a walking test,
the LEDs must be activated (plug-in jumper set to ON). Supply the
infrared motion detector with service voltage, and/or switch on the
central alarm station.
The walking test can be performed after the power-up delay
(warm-up phase approx. 2 minutes) to determine which area is co-
vered by the sensors. (During the power-up delay, the alarm LED
"3" flashes.)
Now, if you enter the sensing range (after the warm-up phase of
approx. 2 minutes), the LEDs "1" and "2" go on. However, if no mo-
tion is detected, these LEDs are not lit.
The alarm is activated (LED "3" flashes) if both (the upper and lo-
wer) sensor ranges are simultaneously entered under normal condi-
tions (plug-in jumper set to "normal").
The HARSH condition (plug-in jumper set to Harsh) requires that
the upper and lower sensor ranges are entered simultaneously twi-
ce within 12 seconds. Only now is the alarm triggered; the LED "3"
flashes. Thus, the alarm is not triggered by pets or small animals.
The monitoring range and the vertical angle can be set precisely
(adjusted) as the pcb is shifted up or down.
Setting the sensing range
This model features a specific adjustment which enables various
range settings (detecting zones) without having to dislocate the
entire motion detector as such.
