7. Putting into operation

• Fasten the glass plate of the gas meter with a large piece of transparent
(clear!) adhesive tape.
• Draw using a ruler and a thin waterproof marker a crosshair exactly in the
middle over the selected meter drum of the counter.
Do not damage the counter, it is the property of the gas supply
company.
• In order to be able to determine the gas consumption in very small steps,
you should choose the second to last position.

The last position, which would allow for an even finer resolution,
to one thousandth cubic meter, is not viable for the recording
since a precise detection of the relatively fast rotating meter
drum is not possible via the sensor.
• Place on the rear side of the sensor housing on the right and the left of
the reflection sensor a 12 mm large and 25 mm long piece of the double-
sided adhesive tape included in the delivery.
