Almost any playback device with HDMI output can be used, for example, also a computer or
notebook.
• The LED (6) and/or (13) lights up when a HDMI audio / video connection has been detected.
• After a few seconds, the playback device's image should appear on the television.
• Point the IR remote control for the playback device (e.g. DVD / Bluray player) at the IR receiver (15) on the
receiver module.
The IR signals received from the IR remote control are sent via radio to the transmitter module, decoded
there and then retransmitted via the IR transmitter connected to the socket (1).
If the IR transmitter is located correctly in front of your playback device (DVD / Bluray player), the playback
device responds as normal to the control commands (e.g. play, stop, etc.).
IR remote control functions
Using the "Receiver" mode on your IR remote control, you can programme further "Transmitter" settings.
You can also make changes to the names of transmitters so that they can be more easily identifi ed during
selection.
To use the OSD menu, set the remote control to the IR "Receiver" mode (15) on the front of the receiver
module.
"MENU" key
Select OSD menu
"EXIT" key:
Exit OSD-Menu/ submenu; cancel.
"OK" key
Confi rm selection
"ADD" key
Add another transmitter.
"DELETE" key
Remove/ delete a transmitter.
"GUEST" key
Activate/deactivate the standby switch (the picture/sound is switched off/back on).
"SHIFT" key
Display the device name of the currently linked transmitter module.
"SOURCE" key
Select the desired transmitter module
Arrow keys:
For use with the OSD menu
Adding a transmitter module by using the "ADD" key will produce the message: "Please Activate Registration
on Transmitter Unit". Now press the Pairing key (P) on the transmitter module, e.g. with a toothpick, for 5
seconds. The left LED light will blink. The screen on the receiver module will display the message: "Adding
TX......, Press OK to continue or EXIT to cancel". Pressing the "OK" key on the remote control adds the new
transmitter module; (this can take 1 or 2 minutes). Pressing the "EXIT" key cancels this procedure.
To remove a transmitter from the receiver activate the OSD menu by pressing the MENU key and use the
arrows to select the function:"Disconnect Wireless Link".
IMPORTANT: a transmitter module can only be progammed into one single receiver module. Thus, it is NOT
possible, for example, to run 3 televisions (each with a connected receiver module) via a single transmitter
module, in order to view the same image (for example from a Blu ray playback device) on each of the 3 sets
However, several transmitter modules can of course be programmed and run on a single receiver unit (e.g.
a games console, a Blu ray player and a SAT receiver) as described above.
Information on the radio range
The max radio range between the transmitter and receiver modules is 20 m.
The range can sometimes be limited considerably by:
• walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated / metallised insulating glass
• Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g., radiators)
• Proximity to human bodies
• Devices on the same frequency (other radio video systems, WLAN devices, etc.)
• Proximity to electronic devices, electric motors, transformers, network components, computers
• Proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating computers or other electrical devices
For this reason, a precise specifi cation of the attainable range is hardly possible as it depends
on the local conditions.
If you experience loss of picture, interference or similar, change the installation location of the
transmitter and receiver modules.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any reason.
Disconnect the product from the mains supply before cleaning.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
