The product contains a Nickel Metal Hydride cell unit. Do not dispose of the trimmer in
household waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can take place at our service centres or
appropriate collection sites.
CAUTION: Do not put in fire or mutilate your battery packs as they may burst or release
toxic materials.
To remove the battery for safe disposal, please follow the instructions below:
Turn the trimmer on and discharge all remaining power.
Then turn around product and remove the screw caps from the bottom of the unit by
prying them loose (Diagram 1).
Unscrew the screws located in the housing under the screw caps (Diagram 2).
In the head attachment area, remove the 2 exposed screws
Remove 2 screws from chrome ring and pry ring free of main body
Remove 2 screws from behind chrome ring
Slightly extend the handle by pushing the extension button and sliding the handle
(Diagram 3)
Separate the handle end of the unit from the attachment end at the remaining chrome ring
(Diagram 4)
Using wire cutters disconnect the battery from the circuit
Dispose of batteries with care
