Stopwatch Counter

This product complies with the applicable national and European legal requirements.
Intended Use
The stopwatch counter is used as stopwatch and as event or lap counter.
The product may only be used in closed rooms or in protected outdoor areas. Do not expose to moisture or
humidity, for example in the rain or in bathrooms or similar spaces.
The product is designed for battery operation only. Do not use any other power supply. The required battery
type is specified in the „Technical data" section.
Any use other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product. In addition, it can lead
to dangers such as short-circuit, fire and electrical shock.
Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.
The safety instructions should be observed without fail.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safe-
ty instructions. We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
We do not assume any liability for material or personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases the warranty will be null
and void.
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important information in the operat-
ing instructions.
The "hand" symbol indicates special information and advice for operating the product.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversions and/or modifications to the product are
not permitted.
• Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, damp, humidity, strong vibrations or heavy mechan-
ical loads.
• If you have any doubts about the correct operation or the safety of the product, please consult a specialist.
• Keep the product and the batteries out of the reach of children. This product is not a toy.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. It may be dangerousfor children to play with.
• The manufacturer does not accept any liability for incorrect or inaccurate readings or any consequences
resulting from such readings.
• Please observe the additional safety instructions in the individual chapters of this manual.

First use
• A battery is already inserted when you purchase the product.
• Please pull the insulation strip out of the battery compartment (5).
• The stopwatch is now ready for use.

Replacing the battery
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery.
Remove the battery if you are not going to use the device for a while, to prevent damage
from leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause acid burns
upon contact with skin. Thus, you should wear protective gloves when handling dam-
aged batteries/rechargeable batteries.
Keep the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as they
may be swallowed by children or pets.
Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. Do not
recharge batteries. This could lead cause a risk of explosion.
• If the display (3) decreases or the signal tone becomes lower, the battery must be replaced.
• Push the attachment clip on the rear of the housing upwards and away from the housing.
• Open the battery compartment (5) using a coin (rotate in the direction of the arrow).
• Remove the discharged button cell from the battery compartment and insert a new 1.5 V AG13 button cell
in the battery compartment. Observe the correct polarity. The positive pole must point outwards.
• Close the battery compartment again (rotate the lid in the opposite direction of the arrow).
• Slide the attachment clip back onto the rear of the housing.
If the display does not indicate anything or does not display properly during operation, press the
RESET key (6) using a sharp item.

Operation

The function switch (4) is used to set the operating mode:
OFF
the device is switched off
COUNTER
event or lap counter function
(with/without signal tone on keystroke, depending on the switch position)
STOPWATCH Stopwatch mode
Event or lap counter function:
• Move the function switch (4) to the position COUNTER (with or without signal tone).
• For each event/lap, press the COUNT RESET/LAP (1) or COUNT START/STOP (2) button.
• The counted events/laps will be shown in the display (3).
• Push the function switch (4) to the position OFF to reset the counter function to „0".
Stopwatch function
• Move the function switch (4) to the position STOPWATCH.
• Press the COUNT START/STOP (2) button to start the stopwatch.
• Press the COUNT RESET/LAP button (1) to measure an interval (the stopwatch continues to run; the interval
is shown in the display (3)).
• Press the COUNT RESET/LAP button (1) to see the running stopwatch display again.
• Press the COUNT START/STOP button (2) to stop the stopwatch. The stopwatch can also be restarted with
this button.
• Press the COUNT RESET/LAP (1) button to reset the stopwatch display to „0" after it has been stopped.
Maintenance and Care
Apart from replacing the battery, the device requires no maintenance.
Only clean the exterior of the product with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as they could damage the surface of the case.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
Disposal of used batteries/storage batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batter-
ies/rechargeable batteries; their disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the following
symbols, which indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is prohibited. The symbols for the
relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can return used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point of your local authority, to our
stores, or to any other store where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
