Ultrasonic Dog Repeller

Intended Use
The ultrasonic dog repeller is intend to drive away dogs. It detects dog barks and then emits an
acoustic signal or an ultrasonic signal to drive the dog(s) away.
The ultrasonic dog repeller has two operating modes: Dog repelling using ultrasound or using an
acoustic signal (up to 120 dB).
The acoustic or ultrasound dog repulsion is activated when dog barking is detected but, in
addition, it can be activated with the enclosed remote control (max. range up to 25 metres).
The ultrasonic dog repeller is powered with the enclosed wall plug transformer 9V/DC. The prod-
uct has a connection for a 9V battery that can be used as a short-term power supply in case of
a loss of power. The radio remote control is powered by a 12V 23A battery.
A transparent weather cover is enclosed. The weather cover enables the ultrasonic dog repeller
to be used outdoors.
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. These instruc-
tions not only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the entire operating
manual before using the product.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of
companies and products are the trademarks of the respective owner.

Explanation of the Symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of elec-
tric shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling, ope-
ration and control.
The „Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. Liability for any and all consequential damage is
excluded!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The
warranty will be void in such cases.
• The integrated „loudspeaker" (1) generate a volume up to 120 dB. Do not get the
loudspeaker close to your ear. This could cause hearing damage.
• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of this product is not
permitted because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product
emits only relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-
support systems. The same may be the case in other areas.
• The ultrasonic dog repeller can be powered with a 1 x 9V battery for a short peri-
od of time (e.g. in case of a loss of power) or stationary with the enclosed wall plug
transformer 9V/DC. The radio remote control is powered by a 12V 23A battery.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore,
be especially careful when children are around.
• A transparent weather cover is enclosed. The weather cover enables the ultrason-
ic dog repeller to be used outdoors.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
Battery notes
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by
children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable
batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If it is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old batteries may leak and
cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss of the warranty/guarantee.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read
the chapter „Disposal".

Getting started
• Open the „battery compartment" (9) and connect a 9V battery, paying attention to the correct
polarity.
• Close the battery compartment.
• Open the housing of the enclosed remote control, if the 12V battery (type: 23A) is not inserted
on delivery. To do this, remove the three housing screws.
• Insert the battery into the battery compartment, paying attention to the correct polarity.
• Close the housing, by placing both housing parts on top of each other and screwing the
housing screws back in place.
• If necessary, connect the low-voltage plug from the wall plug transformer to the „socket for
power supply (9V/DC)" (11).
• Select the desired operating mode, i.e. the desired frequency, with the „frequency switch" (2).
• Select the desired sensitivity using the „sensitivity control" (2) (OFF = the product is deactivated
and switched off).
• Plug the mains plug into a standard domestic socket (230V/AV 50 Hz).
Replacing the remote control's batteries
If the range of the remote control decreases or if the status LED on the remote control no longer
lights up when a button is pressed, the batteries need to be replaced.
To change the battery, proceed as follows:
• Open the housing of the enclosed remote control, if the 12V battery (type: 23A) is not inserted
on delivery. To do this, remove the three housing screws.
• Remove the flat 12V 23A battery.
• Insert the battery into the battery compartment, paying attention to the correct polarity.
• Close the housing, by placing both housing parts on top of each other and screwing the hous-
ing screws back in place.
Replacing the ultrasonic dog repeller's batteries
To change the battery, proceed as follows:
• Open the „battery compartment" (9) on the back of the ultrasonic dog repeller by removing the
cover of the battery compartment.
• Remove the flat 9V battery.
• Connect a 9V battery, paying attention to the correct polarity and insert it into the battery com-
partment.
• Close the battery compartment.

Alternatively, using the pull-out base, the ultrasonic dog repeller can also be
mounted on a wall. For this purpose, the ultrasonic dog repeller has a „devi-
ce for wall mounting" (6).
Furthermore, an extension cable is enclosed. The length of the extension
cable is ca. 21 metres.
The product has a connection for a 9V battery that can be used as short-term
power supply in case of a loss of power.
