Deleting programmed radio controlled sockets from the remote control
• Press the ON and OFF button simultaneously, for the switching channel to which the radio con-
trolled socket is programmed. The LED „ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) starts to flash.
• Then press the „ALL-ON" button (3) and the „ALL-OFF" button (4) simultaneously. The LED
„ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) goes out. All radio controlled mains sockets have been success-
fully deleted from the radio remote control.
To delete one single receiver, press the corresponding OFF buttons for the
switch channel, to which the receiver was programmed, instead of pressing the
buttons „ALL-ON" (3) and „ALL-OFF" (4).
Dimmer function for the remote control
Turn on the dimmer by pressing the ON button for the corresponding switching channel briefly.
Press and hold down the ON key for the corresponding switching channel. The dimmer function
is activated.
Press the ON key for the corresponding switching channel again. The dimmer function is deac-
tivated.
Start-up, Function Test
Set the correct switching group on the remote control, using the „Selector switch for switching
group" (2).
Plug the radio controlled socket (without the consumer load connected!) into the designated
earthed mains socket.
You can now test the function of the radio controlled mains socket, by briefly pressing the
respective „ON" button for the corresponding switching channel (1, 2, 3 or 4). The red LED
„ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) on the radio controlled mains socket lights up. The socket (7) on
the front is now activated; the mains voltage is available and a connected consumer load is
turned on.
Briefly press the „OFF" button, for the switching channel, and the „ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6)
LED goes out; the mains voltage to the front socket (7), and thus the connected consumer load,
is turned off.

Operation

Connect the consumer load to the front socket (7).
Please consult the section „Technical Data" for the permissible maximum
power.
By using the respective „ON" or „OFF" button for the switching channel on the hand-held radio
transmitter, the radio controlled socket, set to the same switching channel, is turned on (the LED
„ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) lights up) or off (the LED „ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) goes out) .
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disassembled
for any reason.
Remove connected consumer loads from the radio controlled socket and remove it from the
mains socket, before cleaning the product.
Clean the product with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or
chemical solutions since these might damage the surface of the casing or impair the operation.
Handling
• The radio remote control must not get damp or wet. However, the supplied radio
controlled socket is suitable for outdoor use (IP44).
• Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installation loca-
tion and during transportation:
- Humidity and damp may damage the remote control
- Although the radio controlled socket is suited for outdoor locations, do not pour
liquids above radio controlled socket. Danger to life!
The radio controlled socket complies with protection type IP44. This means pro-
tection from contact (tools and wires; diameter greater than1mm), protection
against foreign objects (granular foreign objects; diameter greater than 1 mm)
and protection from all sides from water spray.
- Direct sunlight
- Extreme cold or heat
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or
or loudspeakers
• Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor destroyed.
Never disassemble the product! The casing does not contain any serviceable parts.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you notice any damage, do not use the product any longer!
There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible:
- if the device is visibly damaged
- if the device no longer works
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time
- if it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Transmission range
The transmission range of the radio signals between the handheld radio transmitter and the radio
controlled sockets is up to 70 m under optimum conditions.
This value, however, is the so-called „open space range" (the range when
transmitter and receiver are visible to each other, without interfering influ-
ences).
In practical operation, however, there are walls, ceilings of rooms etc. between
the transmitter and the receiver, which reduce the range accordingly.
Due to the different influences on the radio transmission, no specific range can
be guaranteed.
Nevertheless, trouble-free operation in a single-family home is usually
possible.
The range can sometimes be limited considerably by:
• walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• coated/metallised insulated glass
• proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g. radiators)
• proximity to human bodies
• Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobile phones, radio-
controlled headphones, radio-controlled speakers, radio-controlled weather stations, baby
phones etc.)
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, computers
• The proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating computers or other electric appli-
ances
Disposal
a) In general
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batter-
ies/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries that contain pollutants, or rechargeable batteries with the symbol depicted
here, cannot be disposed of with the normal household garbage. The designations
for the respective hazardous heavy metals are Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb =
lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to col-
lection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable
batteries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!

product conforms to the fundamental requirements and the other relevant regulations of
Directive 1999/5/EC.
