Radio Controlled Outdoor
Mains Socket Set RSL

Intended Use
This two-piece radio control set consists of a radio controlled mains socket and a radio switch.
By using the handheld transmitter, a consumer load connected to the radio controlled mains
socket can be turned on or off.
The radio remote control is intended exclusively for use in dry indoor locations. The radio con-
trolled mains socket is suitable for outdoor use (IP44).
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. These instruc-
tions not only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the entire operating
manual before using the product.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of
companies and products are the trademarks of the respective owner.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any consequential
damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warran-
ty will be void in such cases.
• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of this product is not per-
mitted because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product
emits only relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-
support systems. The same may be the case in other areas.
• The product is designed in accordance with protection class I. Only a standard
mains socket (230V~/50Hz with protective earth) for the public supply grid may be
used as the power source for the radio controlled socket(s).
• The handheld transmitter is powered by a 12V battery (type „23A").
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore,
be especially careful when children are around. Children might try to push objects
through the socket openings, for example. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• The radio remote control is only suitable for use in dry indoor locations. The radio
controlled mains socket is suitable for outdoor use (IP44).
• Never touch the product, or the mains plug, with wet or damp hands when trying to
connect to the radio controlled socket. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• Never remove a mains plug from the radio controlled socket by pulling on the pow-
er cable. Always pull the plug from the radio controlled socket by gripping the area
provided for this purpose on its sides.
• Do not put more than one adaptor onto the unit!
• The unit is only without current, when the main plug is disconnected from the outlet.
• Do not overload the radio controlled switch socket (take note of the input power in
the technical data at the end of the operating manual!).
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous play-
things for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• If the product casing is damaged, do not use the product any more! When it is con-
nected to the mains, do not touch the radio controlled switch socket or the connect-
ed device! First, switch off at the mains socket to which the radio controlled socket is
connected (i.e. switch off the circuit breaker). You can then remove the radio con-
trolled socket from the mains socket. Take it to a specialized workshop or dispose of
it in an environmentally friendly way.
Battery notes
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by chil-
dren or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable bat-
teries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If it is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old batteries may leak and
cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss of the warranty/guarantee.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read
the chapter „Disposal".

1) Keypad for switching channels 1 to 4 (left column „ON" = on, right column „OFF" = off)
2) Selector switch for switching group
A total of 16 radio receivers (e. g. radio controlled sockets can be connected). The 16 radio
receivers are categorised into 4 switching groups; switching groups: 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 as well
as switching group 13-16.
3) „ALL-ON" button
Pressing this button will activate all 4 receivers in the currently selected switching group.
4) „ALL-OFF" button
Pressing this button will deactivate all 4 receivers in the currently selected switching group.
5) Control-LED (lights up when the buttons are used).
6) Button/LED „ON/OFF/INDICATOR"
By using this button, the radio controlled socket can be activated or deactivated manually.
This button also serves as the programming button.
7) Front socket for connecting a consumer load with child-proof lock
Inserting/replacing the batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the hand-held radio transmitter and insert a 12V-
battery (type „23A") with the correct polarity (pay attention to the diagram in the battery com-
partment or the figure above). Close the battery compartment.
The batteries need to be replaced if the range of the hand-held radio transmitter is significantly
reduced or the control LED (5) no longer lights when the buttons are used.
Programming the radio controlled socket for the radio
remote control
• Set the switching group on the remote control, i.e. the one to which the radio controlled sock-
et is to be programmed, using the „Selector switch for switching group" (2) .
• Plug the radio controlled socket into a standard 230 V/AC 50 Hz household socket. The LED
„ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) starts to blink.
• Before the LED stops blinking, press the ON „button for the desired switching channel" (1), to
which the radio controlled socket is to be programmed. The LED is on. The programming has
been completed successfully.
Programming a radio controlled socket for several radio remote controls
• Set the switching group on the remote control, i.e. the one to which the radio controlled sock-
et is to be programmed, using the „Selector switch for switching group" (2) .
• Plug the radio controlled socket into a standard 230 V/AC 50 Hz household socket and press
the button/LED „ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6), until the LED starts to flash red.
• Before the LED stops blinking, press the ON „button for the desired switching channel" (1), to
which the radio controlled socket is to be programmed. The LED is on. The programming has
been completed successfully.
A total of 4 receivers can be programmed for each switching group.
You can program up to 10 radio transmitters for this remote controlled, wire-
less, outdoor switch.
A total of 4 receivers can be programmed for each switching group.
