16. Handling

Observe the safety instructions and all other information contained in these operating instructions.
Place the device on a level, stable and sufficiently large area. Do not place the device on valuable furniture surfaces, as otherwise
dents or scratches may occur. Use a suitable underlay if necessary.
Avoid the following adverse ambient conditions at the place of installation or during transport:
- direct sunlight
- moistness or excessive humidity
- extreme cold or heat
- dust or flammable gases, steams or solvents
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as near machines or loudspeakers
Never switch the device on immediately after having taken it from a cold to a warm environment. Condensation water that forms as
a result, may destroy the device. The mains adapter also carries with it the risk of an electric shock!
First allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. This process may take several hours.
Make sure that the insulation of the entire product is intact and not damaged. Never open the device.
Always check the product for damage before it is used!
If you do find damage, then remove the batteries, do NOT connect the device to the mains supply. Bring it to a specialized workshop
or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
If the device will not be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries/rechargeable batteries, remove the mains power supply
unit from the mains plug.
Never poke sharp or pointed objects (e.g. pens, pins or knitting needles, paper clips etc) in the device's ventilation and openings, the
device will be damaged if you do.
When installing the device ensure that none of the cables (e.g. the cable to your headphones or to your mains supply unit) are
jammed or squashed.
Install all cables in such a way that nobody may trip over them.
Regularly check the technical safety of the product e.g. for damage to the housing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be turned off and precautions are to be taken to ensure
that it is not used unintentionally. Switch off the drum kit, disconnect it from any external power supply unit, disconnect the external
power supply unit from the mains voltage. Remove any batteries that may be in the device as well.
It must be assumed that safe operation will no longer be possible if
- the device shows visible damage,
- the device does not operate any longer and
- after it was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
