3. Intended use

The function generator 8202 generates measuring signals from 100 mHz up to max. 2 MHz with different
wave forms as well as adjustable amplitude. The display shows the functions.
The following functions are available:
Signal types: sinus, square wave, triangular, DC
- TTL/CMOS synchronous output
- linear wobble function
- DC offset setting
- Voltage-controlled frequency setting (VCF)
- Frequency counter
The measuring connection is established via BNC measuring sockets.
The maximum input values regarding the earth potential may not be exceeded.
The device is constructed according to protection class I. It is only approved for connection to a mains
socket with protective earthing and a normal AC voltage of 230V 50Hz.
Operation under unfavourable ambient conditions is not permitted. Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
- dampness or excessively high air humidity
- dust and combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- thunderstorms or similar conditions such as strong electrostatic fields etc.
Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other risks, such
as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Do not change or modify any part of the product! The safety
instructions must be observed at all times.
