10. Troubleshooting

By purchasing the function generator, you have acquired a product which is reliable and operational-
ly safe.
Nevertheless, problems or faults may occur.
For this reason we want to describe how to troubleshoot potential malfunctions:
Please observe the safety instructions!
Error
The device does not work.
No display.
No measurable output signal.
No display change
No synchronous output,
no offset setting possible.
Regularly check the technical safety of the device e.g. for damaged housing etc.
Any other repair work must always be carried out by qualified experts familiar with
the hazards involved and with the relevant regulations. In the event of unauthori-
sed modifications or repairs on or in the device, the guarantee will lapse.

Possible cause
Poss. defect fuse in the device or on the automatic line protection.
Check the mains voltage.
Amplitude and dampener set wrong?
Was the right display source selected ((INT/EXT))?
The corresponding functions are not activated.
