HTS®2.0 – harness line trim
All DUOTONE sails feature the exclusive HTS®2.0 system (HARNESS-LINE.TRIM.SYSTEM).
The print on the sail indicates the center position for your harness lines. Just fix you
harness lines to the boom evenly spaced on either side of this center point and you'll
have a balanced line position for sailing. As the harness line position is not only
dependent on the sail type and size but also on the sailor's individual style, the print
shows a range of adjustment as follows:
a. If you like to sail with more pressure on your front hand, you should position your
lines at the back end of the printing (towards the clew).
The same counts for sailing overpowered.
b. Sailors who prefer to have more back hand pressure should position their lines at
the front end of the printed indication (towards the mast).
Helpful hint: the easiest way to determine the center position for your harness lines is
to attach them to the boom when the profile of the sail is pushed out closest to the boom
(leeward side of the sail): you can read the printing on the sail much more clearly.
