Every single batten gets individually pre-calibrated in the factory to its specified
torque tension. So the supplied batten-key is only necessary in case you want to
individually fine-tune your sail or in case of a break to replace the defective batten.
In case you need to modify the batten tension please do so according to the
following guidelines:
Attention:
All battens (RAF- and camber battens) should be kept under full tension even after
de-rigging or while storage. This will ease and speed up rigging enormously and
avoids long-term wear of the batten sleeve material caused by the constant changing
of the tension.

Top batten no. 1 and 2:
You have achieved the correct tension as
soon as the screw touches the batten. Do
NOT tension any further!
All battens in-between:
Tension the batten until there are no
more wrinkels in the pocket. Now
increase the tension by another 1-3 full
turns (= 1-3 x 360°)
Foot batten plus Cross.Batten:
Tension the batten until there are no
more wrinkels in the pocket. Now
increase the tension by another 4-5 full
turns (= 4-5 x 360°)
