The active barrier galvanically separates and supplies 4 to 20 mA signal cir-
cuits. At the current input transmitters are connected, an additional power
supply is therefore not required. A current signal is available at the output
(active output ) for connection to further instrumentation. Bi-directional
®
HART -communication with SMART transmitters is possible using the built-
in communication sockets (with resistance R = 250 Ω).
