Troubleshooting
Danger
First pull out the plug from the mains before
carrying out any tasks on the machine.
Motor does not run
No electrical voltage.

Check cables, plugs, fuse, and socket.
Thermostat switched off the motor be-

cause of overheating
Pull mains plug, replace blocked filters,
or remove blockage from the suction
hose.
The unit is operational again after it has
cooled down.
Rattling noise when switched off
Note
The brush is equipped with a slip clutch
–
that disengages when too large or
blocking objects are sucked in.
The clutch is re-engaged after the unit
–
is switched off. This produces a loud
rattling sound.
Check the brush for obstructing objects
and remove them if necessary.
The noise can not be heard when the unit is
switched back on.
Unsatisfying suction result
Check the brush for blocking objects.
Remove obstructions from brush head,
suction pipe and suction hose.
Replace the filter bag.
Replace blower filter and motor protec-
tion filter.
Check the pile height adjustment knob
for correct adjustment.
The brush must be replaced when it is
worn out. The degree of wear is shown
by a comparison with the indicator bun-
dle of a different colour. The brush
must be replaced when the black bris-
tles are at the same level as the red
ones.
The red indicator lamp is ON
Remove obstructions from brush head,
suction pipe and suction hose.
Replace the filter bag.
