Inserting/changing batteries

• Turn the battery compartment lid (2) anticlockwise and remove it. If needed, use a coin to do so.
• Remove the battery holder from the battery compartment.
• Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery holder, observing correct polarity. Observe the polarity markings on
the battery holder.
• Reinsert the battery holder into the battery compartment. Both terminals of the battery holder must be
aligned with the two terminals inside the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
Replace the batteries, when the battery icon (B) on the display starts flashing or if the product
cannot be turned on anymore.

Operation

a) Switching on/off
• Remove the protective caps from the eyepiece (1) and lens (3).
• Press and hold the on/off switch
for approx. 1 second to turn on the product. The internal display lights
up.
• Press and hold the on/off switch for approx. 3 seconds to turn off the product.
• Reattach the protective caps to the eyepiece and lens after use.
b) Focusing
• Switch on the product.
• Look into the eyepiece and target the desired object.
• Use the adjustment wheel of the eyepiece to roughly adjust the focus.
• Then turn the adjustment wheel of the lens for finer adjustment of the focus.
c) Digital zoom
• Press the + button for zooming in.
• Press the – button for zooming out.
The zoom factor (X1 – X4) appears on the left of the display.
d) Setting the display brightness
• Press the B button. The display will show the BRIGHTNESS indicator.
• Press the + button to increase the display brightness.
• Press the – button to reduce the display brightness.
• Press the B button to return to normal viewing mode.
If you do not press any button for 10 seconds, the product will automatically switch to normal
viewing mode.
e) Night vision
• Press the IR button to activate the infrared light. The display elements appear in red color. The red LED
next to the eyepiece lights up. IR:1 appears on the right of the display.
• Press the IR button repeatedly to increase the intensity of the infrared light or to turn off the infrared lighting
mode. There are 3 intensity levels available:
- IR:1 → suitable for dawn
- IR:2 → suitable for darkness
- IR:3 → suitable for absolute darkness
• When the infrared light is off, IR:OFF appears on the display. All display elements will appear in their
original color. The red LED next to the eyepiece turns off.
f) Normal distance measurement
• Press the M button, until the following appears:

• Briefly press the on/off button to continuously measure the distance. The target point display (I) starts
flashing. Below that, the display will show the actual distance to the target point.
• Briefly press the on/off button to complete the measurement. The target point display lights up again
steadily. The distance measured last remains on the display.
g) Measuring distances under fog
• Press the M button, until the following appears:

• Proceed the same way as for normal distance measurements.
The distance to the target object must account for at least 25 meters in this mode.
In case of very heavy fog, it is not possible to measure the distance accurately.

h) Measuring distances with fixed point
Measuring with a fixed point allows you, for example, to exclude background objects from the
measurement while watching wildlife in the forest.
• Press the M button, until the following appears:

• Proceed the same way as for normal distance measurements.
i) Horizontal distance measurement
• Press the M button, until the following appears:

• Proceed the same way as for normal distance measurements.
In that mode, the system will measure 2 distances: MD + HD
MD = distance A-B or A-C
HD = distance A-D

j) Vertical height measurement
• Press the M until the following appears:

In that mode, the system will measure 2 distances: MD + VH
