Olsberg Conditions of Guarantee

Olsberg heaters are quality products. They are care-
fully manufactured according to state of the art tech-
nology using the best materials available.
Because they are technical appliances, special
knowledge is necessary, both for the sale, installation,
connection and commissioning. Installation, connec-
tion and initial commissioning must only be carried out
by a qualified expert according to existing codes of
practice.
The legal rights of guarantee of the customer towards
the dealer are not affected by the Olsberg Conditions
of Guarantee.
According to the conditions set out below, and inde-
pendent of any dealer obligations arising from the
purchase contract, we guarantee for a period of 24
months - in commercial use or similar conditions, for
12 months - from the date of delivery to the first end
user, the following:-
a) correct quality of materials and their error-free use
and processing.
b) accurate assembly.
c) correct function of the appliance and compliance
with the performance ratings on the appliance rat-
ing label when connected to the stipulated opera-
tional voltage and by operation with the specified
form of energy or fuel.
1. A record of the date of delivery of the appliance
such as a purchase confirmation, receipt, invoice
or similar is to be presented as proof of purchase.
Without this, we are not obliged to provide a guar-
antee service.
2. Within the period of the guarantee we shall correct
any defects which are shown to be caused by
manufacturing errors and/or material deficiencies,
as long as these are reported to us immediately on
their determination within the guarantee period.
The guarantee does not apply to fragile parts such
as those made of glass and plastic, nor for lamp
bulbs or similar.
4. The guarantee service will be effected in such a
way that defective parts shall (dependent on the
individual defect and according to our choice) be
repaired or replaced by sound components.
Usually we shall decide upon the method, scope
and place of guarantee service according to our
discretion, whereby under normal circumstances,
the appliance(s) shall be repaired on site: in excep-
tional circumstances the repair can be carried out
in one of our service centres. Exchanged parts be-
come our property.
4. The period of guarantee shall neither be extended,
nor will a new period of guarantee be activated
when an appliance is repaired or a part is ex-
changed. Installed spare parts have no guarantee
period of their own..
5. We cannot accept responsibility for damage and
defects to appliances or their parts if these have
been caused by excessive strain, incorrect use or
maintenance or erroneous installation and/or con-
nection of the appliance. This applies also to lack
of observation of the Instructions for Installation
and Operation and also to the installation of non-
listed spare parts or accessories. Work on, or
changes to, the appliance not carried out by a spe-
cialist approved by ourselves nullifies any claims
under guarantee.
6. Any other, or further claims, especially those con-
cerning repair or replacement of damage not im-
mediately in connection with the appliance are ex-
cluded from this guarantee, unless liability is spe-
cifically required by law.
7. Any costs for the unauthorised use of our Service
shall be borne by the end user.
8. This guarantee is effective for the Federal Republic
of Germany. It can be extended to other countries
in accordance to appropriate contractual agree-
ments.
9. Any claims under these terms of the guarantee
must be accompanied by details of the Type and
Fabrication Number of the appliance (see rating
label).
We would like to advise you that our Service Cen-
tres are at your disposal at normal conditions
even after the guarantee has ended.
We reserve the right to make any technical
changes.
