If the display is not changing to "0,0" press the tare key
(6). The scales are ready for operation immediately after
being switched on, a short warming up of app.1 minute,
however, is recommendable. Avoid interfering ambient
conditions such as air draft or vibrations as they lead to
unstable measuring values. Never put a weight for a lon-
ger period of time on the scale pan (1).
- Now place the item for weighing on the scales pan (1). Make sure
that the item for weighing does neither touch the casing of the
scales nor the surface on which the scales stand.
- After the measuring value has become stable read the weight of
the item at the LCD-display (3).
Overloading
- If the item for weighing is heavier than the weighing range of the
scales "E" (error) is shown on the LCD-display (3).
Remove the item immediately from the scale pan (1).
Please note that overloading may damage the ultra-sen-
sitive measuring instrument. Damages of this kind are
excluded from the guarantee.
Taring (TARE-Function)
The TARE-function serves especially for measuring non-solid sub-
stances such as liquids, powder or similar. The TARE-function
balances the weight of the used container so that the LCD-display
(3) shows only the net weight of the substance for weighing.
- Switch on the scales and place the empty container on the scale
pan (1) and wait until the display is stable.
- Press TARE-key (6), the display shows now "0,0" despite the container.
- Fill now the substance for weighing into the container, the display
shows now the net weight of the item for weighing.
- If you wish to weigh items without container remove it from the
scale pan (1) and press the TARE-key (6).
