Calibration (CAL)
In order to ensure the maximum precision of the scales for the longest
period of time possible it is necessary to recalibrate it regularly but
above all after abrupt changes of temperature and mechanical stress.
For calibrating do as follows:
- Switch on the scales by pressing the switch-on key (2). Wait app.
1.5 minutes until the scales are stable.
- Press the unit key (4) and keep it pressed until the weight display in the
LCD (3) starts flashing. In the LCD-display (3) is now shown "100,0".
- While the weight display "100,0" is flashing in the LCD (3) press
the TARE-key (6) until "AL O" is displayed.
- Place now a optionally available 100g calibrating weight in the
middle of the scale pan (1).
- Now "AL F" is displayed. Press now the TARE-key (6) to get back
to the normal weighing mode. The calibration is completed when
after the stabilisation in the LCD (3) the weight of the calibrating
weight (100g) is displayed.
- Remove the calibrating weight from the scale pan (1) and switch off
the scales at the switch-off key (5) to leave the calibrating programme.
In case of a calibration error or when using a wrong cali-
brating weight "AL E" appears in the LCD (3). In this
case the calibration must be repeated.
Switching off the Scales
- The scales can be switched off by pressing the switch-off key (5).
- The scales are equipped with a "Auto Shut OFF-Function" to save
battery capacity. This function switches off the scales after app.
2.5 min. of operation.
