Use the Search Mode button -2- to switch the function of the Jog Wheel -8-
between fast and regular search mode. If the Jog Wheel -8- is not operated
for longer than 10 seconds, the CD player changes automatically into regular
search mode.
>
Play Mode:
Usually the Jog Wheel is used to synchronise two tracks using the Pitch
Bend function. If the fast search function has been activated, turn the
Jog Wheel -8- to forward or reverse the current track at a much faster
speed.
>
Pause Mode:
In addition to the Pitch Bend function, the Jog Wheel -8- is usually used
to precision frame-search Cue Points. If the fast Search function has
been activated, turn the Jog Wheel -8- to forward or reverse the
currently playing track at a much faster speed, or to edit the currently
playing track.
When activating the respective Cue button -15- in play mode the player
returns to the start of the track and goes into Pause mode if no Cue position
has been stored. If prior to a Cue position was stored the player returns to
the Cue position and goes into Pause. Set a Cue position by pressing the
Play/Pause button -16- in Pause mode; now frame-search the precise Cue
position with the help of the Jog Wheel -8-. Activate the Cue button to save
this position. By holding the Cue button down you will keep returning to play
mode until you release the button; the player then returns to the Cue
position and is in Pause mode. By pressing the Play/Pause button you will
lastingly return to the play mode.
A loop is the permanent replay of a sequence between a selected loop
starting point and a selected loop end point. Select a loop starting point by
pressing the Loop In button -9- once; the LED flashes. Select the loop end
point by pressing the loop out button -10-; the player automatically goes into
a seamless loop mode. The sequence chosen as such is repeated until the
loop out button is activated a second time; the Player then smoothly returns
to play mode.
Use the Reloop/Stutter button -11- to activate your programmed loop. To end
the seamless loop, activate the Loop OUT button -10-.
If your selected Loop has been activated and the Reloop/Stutter button -11-
is pressed, the loop is played continuously; press and hold the button to play
your track from the selected Cue point. This helps to modulate interesting
effects (stutter effects).
