personnel has read this manual and understood all instructions relating to safety.
1. Safety instructions
Risk of fatal injury from electric shock!
Parts of the system are live. During installation and con-
nection:

Do not touch parts of the system.

Electrically isolate the installation and secure it
against unintentional switch on.
Risk of destruction due to incorrect mains voltage

Refer to nameplate for permissible mains voltage.

2. Scope of delivery
You will receive:
• The CP700
• This quickstart guide
• The manuals "CP700" and "COMTRAXX" can be downloaded as
a PDF file at:

• A pluggable screw terminal for the power supply
• Two RS-485 cables for connection to the BMS bus and the
Modbus RTU, 2 m long
• Two terminating resistors each for the BMS bus and the Mod-
bus RTU
• Four mounting brackets

Malfunction due to duplicated addresses!
The duplicate assignment of addresses can cause serious
malfunctions in the bus systems affected.
WARNING

Ensure correct address setting and termination of
the CP700.
Do not remove CompactFlash card
Do not remove the CompactFlash card in order to ensure
that all device properties are available!
3. Installing the device
The CP700 can be installed into control panels and cabinet doors.
Material thickness min./max. = 2 mm/6 mm

Make an installation cut-out of 199 mm x 143 mm and smooth
the rough edges. The surface of the cut-out must be even. An
uneven surface may result in damage to the display.

Insert the mounting brackets into the CP700 and slide them
down (see orange markings in the picture below).
3.
Fasten the screws of the mounting brackets securely (tighten-
ing torque approx. 0.5 Nm).
