4. Connecting the device

Connection
1. Plug in the RJ45 cable for connection to the PC or LAN (9)
2. Plug in the RS-485 cable for connection to the BMS bus (3) and
the Modbus RTU (1). Switch or connect the associated termi-
nating resistors.
3. Connect the DC 24 V voltage supply, the functional earth (6)
and the earthing connection (7).
BMS bus, Modbus RTU
Two connecting cables (RS-485 cable) are included in the scope of delivery of the CP700. The double cable ends facilitate the connection of the
device if it is arranged in the middle of the bus. Both cables have the same pin assignment.
