5. Commissioning the device

Switch the supply voltage on. - Wait until the home screen
appears.

Set the operating language on the device. Click on "Language"
(A) and then click on the required language.
Set the IP address. Click on "Ethernet" (B).

If the connected computer network contains a DHCP server,
select "DHCP" > "On". The IP address is automatically assigned
and displayed.
If the computer network does not include a DHCP server, the IP
address, network mask (SN) and standard gateway must be
specified by the EDP administrator.
An IP address has been permanently assigned to the device.
Therefore, deactivate the "DHCP" button.
6. Using the web user interface
System requirements
As browser, the latest version of Windows© Internet Explorer,
Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are recommended.
To use the functions of the web user interface, JavaScript has to
be activated.
The pop-up blocker should be deactivated for the IP address.
Otherwise, it would interfere with the software update request
and the network settings.
Microsoft Silverlight (version 5.0 and higher) must be installed
(only required for "Web server with Silverlight").

Carry out further interface settings:
– Click on "Ethernet" (B) and afterwards on "BCOM"
Set all address data of the CP700. Always configure the
BCOM interface (system name, subsystem, device address).

The BCOM device address is, at the same time, the address
on the internal BMS bus.

– Click on "Ethernet" (B) and afterwards on "Modbus"
A
Set baud rate and parity for the Modbus RTU.

Integrate other Bender devices into the system
– BMS devices are detected automatically
– BCOM devices are detected automatically
– Modbus devices must be configured via a PC. Therefore,
start the alternative web user interface (with Silverlight) and
select "Tools" > "Modbus" > "Manage devices".

Set the display timeout. Select "Start" > "System" > "CP700" >
"Menu" > "Settings" > "Display" > "Timeout". If no entry is
made via the touchscreen of the CP700 for a predefined time
(e.g. five minutes), the screen is blanked.
Getting started
1.
Start the Internet browser.
Read out the IP address from the device (home screen, C) and

enter it into the Internet browser.

Select the user language for the web user interface. Click on
"
" and then click on the required language or flag.
4.
Select "Tools" > "Manual" to obtain the manuals at
www.bender.de.
– The manual "CP700" describes the CP700 and the "Web
server with Silverlight".
– The manual "COMTRAXX" describes the web user interface.
Operation on the CP700 display is done in the same way.
5.
Click on "Bus overview" to get a graphical representation of all
BMS bus devices.
6.
You can now make all other settings (specific texts, e-mail noti-
fications etc.).

The following settings can also be carried out via a PC (re-
fer to "Using the web user interface").
