Use the app to enter the electricity rate and read the energy consumption.
Energy costs and energy consumption will be displayed graphically. It is
furthermore possible to switch the power supply on or off using the app.
b) connection
After installing the app, connect the energy consumption meter to a common
230 V/AC 50 Hz (D/FR/CH), 220 - 240 V/AC 50 Hz (UK) isolated ground
receptacle. Make sure the electric appliance to be measured is turned off.
Connect the mains plug of the electric appliance to the isolated ground
receptacle (5). Switch on the electric appliance.
c) bluetooth connection and basic settings
Before you can use all functions of the device you will have to perform some
settings and familiarize yourself with the operating instructions.
• Activate the Bluetooth® function on your mobile device.
• Run the voltcraft ® smart-energy-meter app on your mobile device. The
app searches for Bluetooth devices and after a few seconds the display will
show the energy costs meter. Touch the box indicated with the
• A message appears indicating that the Bluetooth pairing button (1) must be
pressed and held for 3 seconds in order to facilitate the pairing operation.
When completed, the display will show the device number. The devices
have been paired successfully.
• Touch the Device Name to rename the energy costs meter. Then touch
>Save<.
• It is possible to allocate a photo to the energy costs meter. Touch the
photo frame next to the device name to add or change a photo. You may
then take a photo or upload a photo from your photo folders. Then touch
>Save<.
• If you want to delete a linked energy costs meter, simply swipe your
finger from one side to another inside the device box. The display shows
>Delete<. Touch >Delete< to delete the energy costs meter.
