Phonemaster 180
5.2 Setting the Country Code
Each country has its own country code. These are the 4 or 5 digits you have to dial while calling a
foreign country,
for ex. Belgium (0032), Holland (0031), Germany (0049), England (0044), France (0033), Denmark
(0045), Sweden (0046), Norway (0047), Finland (00358), ...
It is possible that some telephone numbers are stored in the SIM card with the country code. The
first 2 digits '00' are sometimes replaced by a '+'. If you make a copy of the SIM Phone Book to the
Phonemaster 180, the complete numbers will be stored. The '+' will be replaced by '00'. As soon as
you dial a telephone number from the Phone Book starting with the pre-programmed country code,
the digits from the country code will be skipped.
• Press and hold the SIM button for 2 seconds until 'AREA CODE' appears on the display.
• Select 'COUNTRY CODE' by means of the Up or Down button
• Enter the country code with the numerical keypad. Wrongly entered numbers can be erased by
pushing the Erase button Ø.
• Press the Up button
• If you want to leave the menu, press and hold the Erase button Ø for more than 2 seconds.
You can find some examples in chapter 5.4.
