6.4.1 Automatic operating mode

In the AUTOMATIC operating mode system pressure is measured.
The measurement cycle (measurements per hour) is an adjustable parameter (pre-set at the factory at 2 measurements per hour).
When the system's pressure setting (minus hysteresis/2) is not reached (adjustable parameter, pre-set at the factory at 2.0 bar), the valve is opened and the
system is filled with water. In this operating status, the yellow LED lights up in addition, and the flow pressure is displayed (display flashes). The system pres-
sure rises.
When the pressure setting with additional hysteresis/2 is reached (pre-set at the factory at 0.2 bar) the valve is switched off. The yellow LED is extinguished
and the system's filling pressure is displayed.
If system re-filling lasts too long, the valve is closed and the device switches into a malfunction mode. The maximum filling time is an adjustable parameter
(pre-set at the factory at 15 minutes).
When the total quantity of water used reaches 99999 litres, an alarm is generally set off, which then needs to be reset.

6.4.2 System filling operating mode

By simultaneously pressing the UP/DOWN buttons for 5 seconds, the device switches from AUTOMATIC operating mode into SYSTEM FILLING operating
mode.
The filling process lasts 2 hours and can be switched off manually by simultaneously pressing the UP/DOWN buttons for 5 seconds.
During the filling process the yellow LED lights up. The flow pressure is displayed, the display flashes. The system pressure is not monitored during this time;
the maximum filling time (parameter) is not relevant in this operating status. However, filling time is limited to a maximum of 2 hours.

Depending on system structure, it may be advantageous to reduce the pressure setting on the refill unit before changing into SYSTEM FILLING opera-
ting mode by around 10%. After successfully completing the filling, you can reset the
desired pressure setting.
When the total quantity of water used reaches 99999 litres, an alarm is generally set off, which then needs to be reset.
After finishing the filling process, the NK300-T refill unit has to be switched back to automatic mode, otherwise the
leakage protection is no longer assured.
