Sound Head Cleaning
•
We recommend cleaning the sound head after every 10 hours of use. To accomplish highest
recording quality clean all parts which the tape will pass before any recording.
•
Remove any tape from the tape deck and clean sound and recording heads, pinch roller and roller
drive using cotton swaps which were soaked in alcohol (isopropanol).
•
Wait until the cleaned parts are completely dry before inserting another tape.
Compact Disc Cleaning
•
Finger prints and dust should be carefully wiped off the disc's recorded surface with a soft cloth.
Wipe in a straight line from the inside to the outside of the disc.
•
Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint-free, dry cloth. Never use detergents or abrasive
cleaners to clean the disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
Cleaning the casing
• If the casing becomes dusty wipe it off with a soft dry dust cloth. Do not use any wax, polish
sprays, or abrasive cleaners on the casing.
• Caution: Never allow any water or other liquids to get inside the unit while cleaning. If it does
happen, unplug the device from the mains, remove all batteries and let the appliance completely
dry before you try to restart it. Do not put the appliance into an oven or a microwave oven for
drying.
