Unpacking and checking
•
Remove all packaging and check the appliance for damage.
•
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged in any way. Bring it back to the dealer immediately.
•
Open the CD compartment and remove the transport protection.
Battery operation
•
Open the battery compartment and insert six C-Cell (UM-2/LR14 type) batteries. Please observe
correct polarities. The batteries are not included.
• Note: When the set is only used with "AC" or is not used for 4 weeks or more, please remove the
batteries, to avoid damage to the set from leakage of batteries.
•
Also observe the safety instructions for handling batteries ("Important safety instructions").

Headphone jack
•
This unit is equipped with a stereo headphone jack (3.5mm diameter) which accepts most standard
earphones & headphones (not included).
•
When the plug of a standard headphone or earphone is inserted into this jack, the built-in speakers
will automatically be disabled.
•
When the headphone or earphone is disconnected, the speakers will be activated.
Radio operation
•
Set the function switch to the desired band (
•
Rotate the tuning control knob to tune in to the desired station.
•
Adjust the telescopic antenna (for FM/FM ST) or position of the set (for AM) to obtain the best
reception.
•
Adjust the volume control knob to the desired level.
•
