BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• This unit is equipped with a battery backup system, which requires a
CR2032 lithium battery (not included). Place the battery in the battery
compartment and make sure that the + and – battery terminals
correspond with the symbols in the battery compartment. If an AC
power failure occurs, the clock will automatically switch to the battery
power and the internal clock memory will continue running (note that
the display is switched off and the radio won't operate). When the AC
power resumes, the unit automatically switches back to the AC power
and will return to normal operation.
USE
Setting the time automatically
• Your radio controlled clock radio can obtain the accurate time with
wireless technology. Place your clock at a location with optimal signal,
i.e. close to a window and away from metal surfaces or electrical
appliances.
• After plugging in the device in the wall outlet, it will start to receive a
DCF signal. The radio signal LED will start flashing to indicate that it is
receiving a signal. If the LED dissapears, it means that reception has
failed.
• It can take up to 15 minutes to get a succesful reception, The radio
signal LED will become static to indicate a succesful reception, and
the correct time will appear in the display.
Setting the time manually
• If reception fails, you can also set the time manually. First press the
SET button to set the time zone. You can change the time zone with
the arrow buttons:
– "00" is GMT + 1 (e.g. Germany)
– "01" = GMT +2 hours (e.g. Finland)
