4.3 Parameter menus

All the unit settings (parameters) are undertaken on site with the aid of parameter menus. A parameter
menu always has the same structure:

The unit settings are changed or observed in the parameter menus. Parameters are differentiated ac-
cording to parameter type:
• The values of set parameters (EP) can be changed. The new value is permanently stored.
• Observation parameters (BP) show current values and cannot be changed.
• Operation parameters (OP) are special parameters with a different behavior pattern.
Setting parameters can also be of type RO (Read Only), if the access level for these pa-
rameters is not high enough (write protection). If the values are to be changed, the pass-
word-protected parameter access level in menu 7A must first be raised.
