2 Exchange of the sensor
1. Switch off the power supply to the device.
2. The device is installed as per the instructions in the Operating
Instructions.
3. Removal work is performed in strict compliance with the warnings and
instructions given above.
If a lmounting set is used, observe the corresponding instructions in the
seperate special documentation.
4. Remove power supply and signal cable.
5. Loosen the two grub screws (1) at the counter nut (2) of the
compression fitting. Release the counter nut of the compression fitting with
one counter-clockwise rotation. Unscrew the compression fitting (3) out of
the welding socket. Remove the sensor. Remove the sealing ring (4).
6. Release the retaining clamp (5) and remove the housing cover (6).
7. Open the local display (7). Disconnect the ribbon-cable connector (8), loosen
the screws (9) and remove the retainer (10).
8. Remove the signal cable (11) incl. S-DAT from the amplifier (12).
9. Insert a tool (e.g. a thin pin) into the hole of the board in question. Remove
the boards from the board housing (13).

Note!
Shielding plates are located between the individual electronics boards on
Ex devices in the II2GD and Div.1 category. Remove these and insert them
again when re-installing.

10. Remove the torque screw in the board housing (13). Remove the board
housing from the transmitter. Make sure that the cables are not
damaged.
Non-Ex version, II3G, Div. 2
11. Remove two hexagonal-headed bolts (14). Turn the transmitter (15a) counter-
clockwise until the stop point and remove. Only Endress+Hauser screws may
be used when installing. Observe the torque as per the graphic.
12. Remove the sleeve (16) by releasing the two Phillips screws.

Note!
When reassembling, observe the position of the groove on the sleeve.
Ex version with approval for ATEX (II1/2GD, II2GD), IECEx
(Zone 1, Zone 21), Div. 1, TIIS Zone 1, NEPSI, Zone 1
13. Release two Allen screws (18) on the metal cover (19) of the sensor. Remove
the metal cover. When installing, secure the metal covers again.
14. Release the lock screw (17) on the transmitter. Unscrew the
transmitter (15b) counter-clockwise.
When installing, observe the torque as per the graphic.
Non-Ex/Ex version, II3G, Div 2
15. Remove the housing seal (20). Use a new housing seal when installing.
3 Re-assembly
Re-assembly is carried out in reverse order, unless otherwise instructed.
