6. Troubleshooting and remedies

FAULT
• The hot air heater does not start and
the fan blower is not moving.
• The hot air heater does not start and
switches off, while:
MODEL S
>> the fan blower continues to
run.
MODEL A
>> the lamp (8) constantly lights up
red.
• The hot air heater does not switch
off after carrying out the procedure for
"STANDSTILL".
• Loud noise while operating or
vibrations from the blower
CAUSES
• No electricity supply
• Wrong position of the main switch
• Room air thermostat (model A) not
being used properly
• Not enough gas supply.
• Take out the flame sensor and clean
it
• The flame does not ignite.
• Defective safety thermostat.
• The thermo element does not heat
up and the thermo valve closes
(Model S)
• Defective thermo element (Model S)
• The ionisation electrode does not
recognise the flame (Model A).
• Release of the checking device for
flawless burner operation
(model A)
• Defective electronic checking device
(Model A)
• The magnetic valves do not shut
because they are blocked by foreign
bodies or impurities.
• Defective room thermostat (Model A)
• Deposits of foreign bodies on the fan
blades
• Poor air circulation

REMEDIES
• Check the power values of the connecting
mains supply
• Check electrical connections
• Select the right position
• Select the right position
• Check electrical connections
• Check the power connection of the
thermostat.
• Check the ability to function of the thermostat
• Check the gas cylinder.
• Check the gas hose and clean out any
impurities preventing gas flow.
• Check the pressure regulator and change if
necessary.
• Check that the suctioning in and out flow grids
are not blocked
• Check that the room is sufficiently ventilated
• Check that hot air can escape without
hindrances
• Check that the gas conveying flow or pressure
is not too high
• Check the ignition (piezo-electrical in Models
S; electronic in Models A) and the power
connection. Change the ignition if necessary.
• Check the position of the ignition electrode.
• Check the thermostat and change if
necessary.
• Repeat the switching on process and press
the thermo valve button down for at least 30
seconds.
• Check the position of the thermo element.
• Take out the thermo element and clean it
• Check the thermo element and change if
necessary.
• Take out the flame sensor and clean it or
change it.
• Contact technical customer services
• Check the device and change if necessary.
• Stop gas supply and let the hot air heater burn
the gas remaining in the hose. Then contact
technical customer services.
• Check the thermostat and change if
necessary.
• Check the power connection of the
thermostat.
• Remove foreign bodies
• Remove any possible hindrances to the air
passage
