Receiving

If the radio is turned on, it is automatically set into receiving mode.
To communicate with other radios, all radios must have the same channel
and sub code.

Volume control

The Volume can be adjusted in 8 steps. To change the volume proceed as follows:
1. Press the Up-/Down button to change the volume.
2. The display shows the current volume level.

Monitor function

With the monitor function you can switch off the automatic squelch to listen to the weakest signals, which are
cut from the automatic squelch. To activate the monitor press the Mon button for a short time, a noise of weak
signal is heard. To switch off the monitor function press the Mon button again.

Vibration alert

The MiniPocket is equipped with a Vibration alert for silent operation of the radio. The radio will vibrate when
receiving a call tone transmission instead of emitting a call tone sound. To set the unit at Vibration alert mode
proceed as follows:
1. Press the Menu button until the Vibrate alert icon is fl ashing and oF appears on the display.
2. Use the Up-/Down button to select on.
3. Press the PTT button to confi rm or wait about 10 seconds, the changes will be stored auto-
matically.
In the upper right corner of the display you can see the Vibrate alert icon.
To turn off the Vibrate alert mode proceed as follows:
1. Press the Menu button until the Vibrate alert icon is fl ashing and on appears on the display.
2. Use the Up-/Down button to select of.
3. Press the PTT button to confi rm or wait about 10 seconds, the changes will be stored auto-
matically.

Channel selection

The MiniPocket offers 69 channels in the LPD band and 8 channels in the PMR band. The channel indication
on the display for PMR are P1 – P8 and for LPD are 01 – 69.
Be noted that the TX output power between the PMR band (500 mW) and the
LPD Band (10 mW) is different, therefore the working range is also different.
To change the channel proceed as follows:
1. Press the Menu button until the Cannel no. is fl ashing on the display.
2. Use the Up-/Down button to select the channel.
3. Press the PTT button to confi rm or wait about 10 seconds, the changes will be stored auto-
matically.
