Activating the rechargeable battery

1. Make sure that the appliance is switched off and the mains adapter is not connected.

2. Turn appliance carefully upside down so that the underside is accessible.
3. Pull off the rechargeable battery cover forcefully with both hands (see figure).
4. Connect rechargeable battery as shown (see detail).
5. Insert rechargeable battery in compartment (see figure).
6. Push rechargeable battery cover on forcefully until it audibly snaps in.
The rechargeable battery is now activated and must be charged, page 26, „Recharging the re-
chargeable battery".
