Tender function area
In order to ensure user friendliness and ease of access, we have gathered various functions below the tender
top as per Pic. 4. The following describes the individual functions:

tion. Remove the jumper plug Jp and keep in a safe place. Now insert the digital decoder. Please follow the in-
stallation instructions of the decoder manufacturer exactly. For questions regarding function and installation,
please contact the decoder supplier or manufacturer. Please note that no liability can be assumed for any de-
coder subsequently installed.
Locomotive sound
The tender is already completely prepared for loc sound operation. You can insert the sound decoder instead
of the jumper plug Jp or another decoder in the 21-pole connector. Two connection pins Sp+ & Sp- are already
fitted on the circuit board to connect the speaker. The loudspeaker – e.g. ESU with d = 23 mm – can be clipped
in place after loosening the two screws S3 in the sound capsule Ls with the membrane facing outwards. It is
essential that you observe the instructions for use of the decoder and the loudspeaker manufacturer.

Switch 1 Sw1
This switch can be used to switch the

top head lights of the locomotive and

the tender on or off as desired.
Switch 2 Sw2
If you decide to install interior lighting
you can use this switch to turn it on
and off in analogue operation. For digi-
tal operation this switch must be set to
"ON". The smoke generator is turned
on and off here with the decoder.
Pin 21-pole ( PI )

If you have decided on a LILIPUT model for the central
rail alternating current system, please observe the fol-
lowing:
This model has a digital decoder installed (ESU Lokpi-
lot) which can be used to power your vehicle either on
an analogue basis (16 volt AC) or digitally. Please con-
sult the instructions for use supplied by ESU for details
on how the decoder works. For power pick up from the
central rail, the slider has to be clipped on to the run-
ning gear with the aid of a holder (HA) as shown in
Pic. 7. To change the slider, please slightly press apart
the retaining arms (A) of the holder (HA) using a small
screwdriver. This loosens the holder retainers and the
central slider can be removed.
