Congratulations on your purchase of the MINI HAWK III.
As the name implies, the MINI HAWK III is the third version of Staufenbiel's popular series of hotliners.
In comparison to its predecessors, this model has additional CFRP reinforcements in various places on
its fuselage as well as cooling vents that have become a new series standard. In addition, the EWD
has been corrected to 0° for neutral flight behaviour at high speeds. The MINI HAWK III has a Neon
design, distinguishing it from its predecessors and ensuring that you will be able to locate it regardless
of flight conditions.
This model is available in two different versions. Some of the assembly steps described in the following
instructions pertain only to the ARF version as they have already been included in the PNP version.
These steps will be indicated by "ARF VERSION ONLY."
The construction of the model and the related detailed solutions are based on certain tastes and preferences.
Therefore, the solutions contained within these instructions are to be understood as suggestions. There are
certainly other options and approaches.

ARF VERSION ONLY: Lightly sand the GRP control horn on both sides. Check for the correct diame-
ter of the drill holes in the horn by inserting the end of a cable into them. The cables should be able to
pass through easily. Then completely cover the surface around the slit with adhesive tape. Finally, pour
5-minute epoxy into the slit and seal the control horn. Remove the tape directly after.

THE FUSELAGE
ARF VERSION ONLY:
On the elevator, mark the middle of the
rudder's surface. Cut a slit that fits to the inclu-
ded GRP control horn and according to your
mark on the elevator. At a later point in time,
the outer hole of the control horn should lie
directly over the pivot point of the hinges.
