Sample too dark
This condition indicates that the instrument has been
asked to zero a sample with a high absorbance at a
low energy point. The instrument beeps three times to
announce the message, the message remains on the
display for two seconds, then the normal display
returns.
Sample too bright
This condition indicates that the instrument has been
asked to zero a sample while the door of the sample
compartment is open. The instrument beeps three
times to announce the message, the message remains
on the display for two seconds, then the normal
display returns.
Key not active
This condition indicates that a non-functional key was
pressed. For example, this message would appear if
you press MODE when viewing the SETUP menu.

Parity error
This message appears when you try to transmit
information from the computer to the instrument and
indicates that the setting selected for the parity is
incorrect. Use the RS232 utility (see page 26) to

indicates that the number of data bits, number of stop
bits or both settings are incorrect. Use the RS232
utility to select the correct settings.
Muestra muy oscura
Esta condición indica que se le ha solicitado al

instrumento suena una alarma por tres veces para
anunciar el mensaje, el mensaje permanece en

Tecla inactiva
Esta condición indica que se ha oprimido una tecla de
una función no activa. Por ejemplo, este mensaje
aparecerá si oprime MODE mientras esta viendo el
menú de utilidades. El instrumento suena una alarma
por tres veces para anunciar el mensaje, el mensaje
permanece en pantalla por dos segundos, luego la
pantalla vuelve a la normalidad.
Error de Paridad
Este mensaje aparece cuando trata de transmitir
información desde el computador al instrumento e
indica que el ajuste seleccionado para paridad es
incorrecto. Use la utilidad RS232 (vea página 26)
para seleccionar el ajuste correcto.
Error de Entramado
Este mensaje aparece cuando trata de transmitir
información desde el computador al instrumento e
indica que el numero de bits de datos, numero de bits
de detención o ambos están incorrectos. Use la
utilidad RS232 (vea página 26) para seleccionar el
ajuste correcto.
